Maritime Gig Celebration

We spent a wonderful weekend in Gig Harbor during the Maritime Gig festivities. (Ahem, in June. I'm catching up here...) We left on Sunday afternoon, so we weren't able to see the blessing of the fleet (the origin of the celebration,) but we did partake in the parade! Laine had fun seeing the crowds, bands, and floats. She took a few rides on both Daddy and Grandpa's shoulders, and learned about pirates and trucks from Mommy and Grandma. (New word acquired: pirate!)
