Laine and I spent one morning at the Bellevue City Park. It looked like it was going to be a nice day but the weather turned on us a bit as we arrived. (No rain, just chillier than we'd anticipated.) We had a great time anyway--chatting with the ducks, petting lots of doggies, and playing on their great equipment. We did have an "incident" as we left that I hope isn't indicative of what Two Years Old will be like. Laine asked to go to the car, and it was getting to be time to leave anyway, so we got in...and my Little Miss Sweetheart refused to get into her carseat. When I say refused, I mean arched her back, stiffened up, and squirmed like I'd never seen her do. It took a good 30 minutes to coax her in (read: gently force) and she was not a happy camper. But she was tired--she fell asleep before we got home and then woke up as I tried to transfer her to her crib, and didn't take a nap that day. Someone was a little crankster by the time Daddy got home!
