Party plans were in full swing a month or so before the big day. I'm not big on commercialized characters (although I'm sure it's inevitable they'll be included at a birthday to come,) so the theme was PINK. Laine had a great time, played a little with friends and thoroughly enjoyed her homemade cake (made in the cake pan my first cake was made in). We didn't want to get too sweet, so it was iced with homemade whipped cream and a tiny bit of sweetener. She had about 1/8 of it, and a little more over the next three days.

Reading birthday cards with Auntie.The party fell on a Husky home game day, so we had a few friends that couldn't attend. We had a very full house anyway, but sadly we didn't get any photos of Laine with anyone other than family and a few of the other kids. All in all, it was a great time, filled with wonderful memories.
