Our Visitors
I'm sure Grandpa Good will be thrilled with all the people we've had over. (He's a little worried about Laine getting sick.) Don't worry Grandpa, everyone was healthy!
Courtney and Cami come for the afternoon. Laine slept.

The Obsession Begins
Well, it's official. We're in love with our daughter. We can't seem to take enough photos, even though all she pretty much accomplishes is sleeping, eating, pooping and crying. Every action warrants a photo when you're a baby!
I covet her flawless skin. As the commercials say, "Maybe she's born with it...maybe it's Maybelline." Our Laine was born with it!
This is where we were first putting Laine while we ate. In her Boppy pillow next to the step up into the dining room. She slept contentedly during each meal. This lasted for three days before we had to come up with a new plan.

Heading Home
Laine and Jayson, aka "Daddy"
Getting weighed at one day old...now coming in at 8 pounds, 9 ounces!
Laine and her Great Granny
After a long night, we inform Laine she won't be living at the hospital. She ponders this idea.

Welcome to the Family!
Grandpa Good meets Laine.
After the three of us got a chance to catch our breath, we herded the family in to meet our newest arrival! As they'd been waiting at the hospital for nearly 12 hours to meet Laine, they were very excited to finally say hello. We discovered Laine was not a fan of her paparazzi, but she has since learned to adjust to the bright lights of stardom.
Grandma Buechler keeps Laine's attention.
Everyone got a turn to hold Laine...and then reluctantly headed home to get some rest. As my epidural wore off we were taken to a Mother and Baby room at the hospital and tried to get some sleep. Jayson was able to stay with us and slept on a chair that turned into a cot. Not the most comfortable, but between the nurses taking mom and baby's vital signs periodically through the night and a crying newborn, we didn't get much sleep anyway.
Grandma Good gets to know our newest family member.
